Sand/soil anti-adhesive agent
Queenseter DS-G
Kotani Chemical Industry's sand/soil antiadhesive agent "Queenseter DS-G" is a special function-adding agent to prevent fabrics from becoming dirty with sand and soil.
It can make sand and soil adhesion to fiber difficult and facilitate removal once it does adhere, by formation on the coating fibers of a soft but strong resin film based on their unique atomizing technology, keeping fabric surfaces always clean.
Sand/soil antiadhesive effect can be maintained even after repeated washings, and it is a special finishing agent best suited to car seats, sportswear (jersey knit), bedding fabrics and buckskin-type shoes.

Features
- "Queenseter DS-G" is applicable to any type of textile fabric or knit including cotton, wool, polyester, nylon, acrylic fiber and blends thereof.
- It does not cause coarsening of hand or any hindrance to water absorbency in treated fabric.
- It causes no yellowing due to heat, no discoloration after treatment and does not adversely affect other fastness.
- No heat treatment such as curing or setting required as it forms a strong resin film on the fiber simply through the evaporation of the water content.
- It is free from the use of formalin and deleterious substances.
Method of use
Aside from continuous padding and dipping methods, a spray method can also be used for “Queenseter DS-G.” The amounts vary depending on the type and surface of substrate, however, the use of the following is standard:
| Padding: |
5~10% sol., padding→drying |
| Dipping: |
5~10%(o.w.f.), dipping→squeezing→drying
(Room temp. x 10min, liquor ratio 1:10) |
- While heat treatment is unnecessary after treatment, it does not produce any adverse effects.
- Simultaneous use is possible with other auxiliaries such as antistatic or softening agents.
Preliminary, thorough testing on compatibility is necessary as the effect of sand/soil antiadhesive may deteriorate considerably depending on the kind of auxiliary.
