Mikiriken Industrial, while developing and distributing finishing agents made with Take-zumi/ Bincho-tan charcoal dispersed in water for use in fiber post-processing, has recently succeeded in the production of charcoal-incorporated fiber.

Bincho-tan spun fiber is a function-added material with Bincho-tan fiber incorporated into polyester, which is then blended with cotton.
Produced by incorporating genuine rare Bincho-tan, made through high-temperature calcination of Ubamegashi wood (a kind of oak: Quercus phyllyraeoides) from South Wakayama, the fiber promotes comfort and good health with its far-infrared heat-retaining properties, cooling effects by moisture absorption and heat release, as well as stress-releasing effects by minus ion production.

Take-zumi-incorporated fiber also produces heating, heat-retaining, relaxing, deodorant and anti-bacterial effects.
