Features
Levezine 800 is an anti-precipitant for use in the dyeing of acrylic/wool blends, particularly suited for dyeing with cationic and reactive dyestuffs (Lanasol).

Levezine 800 |
2.0% (o.w.f.) |
| Acetic acid |
2.0% (o.w.f.) |
| Sodium acetate |
1-2 g/L |
Prepare a dyebath with the addition of Levezine 800 and other auxiliaries at 70°C. Throw in the substrate and treat for about 10 minutes. Add reactive dyestuff for another 10-minute treatment
at the same temperature. Raise temperature by 1 °C per minute until it reaches the range between 98 °C and boiling point for 30 to 60-minute dyeing.
In the case of deep shades, add ammonia water after dyeing and treat for 10-20 minutes at 80 °C and pH adjusted to 8.5. Rinse and acid-rinse until neutralized.
Example 2) Dyeing method for acrylic/wool blends
When dyeing with Nichilon/Lanasol dyestuffs, Levezine 800 of 2.0% o.w.f. is generally used. Lanasol dyes, then Nichilon dyes are added after substrates are soaked in the dyebath with pH adjusted 4.5
to 5.5 at a temperature of 70°C. Temperature is then raised by 1°C per minute until it reaches the range between 98 °C and boiling point for 30 to 60-minute dyeing.
Note: Stir well before use as separation may occur at low temperatures.
* In the case of the one-bath dyeing of acrylic/wool blends using cationic/metal complex dyes, some dyes may remain unfixed in the bath as Levezine 800 produces retarding effects on metal complex dyes.
The use of Levezine Salt BL is recommended for the combined use of cationic/metal complex dyes.
