Sewing efficiency improver "TK SILICONE X-51DN"
Takamatsu Oil & Fat’s “TK SILICONE
X-51DN” is a polymeric silicone based auxiliary that can
produce excellent performance as a sewing efficiency improver
for car seats.
It has little influence on flame resistant properties
since it only requires a small amount to be effective.
Treatment recipe
(1) Padding
Specimen: Polyester fabric
PAD(PICK up 100%) ~ DRY (100°C x 3min)
~SET (180°C x 1min)

Reduction of thermal adhesiveness
The images below show the thermal adhesiveness
of four polyester jerseys treated with “TK SILICONE X-51DN” after
being seamed without thread.
Thermal adhesion occurs on untreated fabric when being seamed
without thread, but not on fabrics treated with “TK SILICONE
X-51DN.”
