3-2. Dyeing of acrylic-based mixtures
Acrylic fiber, production of which is mostly staple fiber, is suitable for mixing with wool and cotton as it has similar hand to natural fibers. The major combinations of acrylic mixtures and major
usage are shown in Table 6.

On dyeing acrylic-based mixtures, the following points should be taken into consideration;
- Care should be taken for stabilizing the dyebath with the use of dispersing agents in the case of one-bath dyeing, since cationic dyes produce a chemical complex with anionic dyes and auxiliaries
used for other fibers in the mixture.
- Since cationic dyes easily cause staining on other fibers, dyes that cause less staining should be selected.
The dyeing and staining properties of dyes for acrylics on other fibers are shown in Table 7.
