Eyeing applications as industrial material for filters and insulating materials
“Air Flake

Kurabo has developed the fiber material "Air Flake," replicating the special shape of waterfowl down balls with fiber. It is expected to have insulation effectiveness owing to its lightness and fluffy structure. It can be produced with various types of fiber including polyester and other fibers such as acryl, nylon and rayon depending on the application and it is possible to add functions like antibacterial properties and flameproofing properties to materials. Kurabo will advance the development of this product as an all-round material for various filters and insulating materials, and start its sales from March 2008.
