Film with metal-like luster

Toray has developed a special film without using metal, and will widely promote its application for various industrial uses, especially automobiles, electrical appliances, mobile phones and architectural materials. The company has succeeded in developing a metallic style/easy-to-form film by combining nano- layering technology and polymer design technology. Its special feature is that it can reflect light with high intensity and has a metal-like luster even though metal is not used. It has excellent resistance to heat and chemicals, excellent printability and a superb surface structure.

It can express a natural, metal-like luster through lamination of a few hundred to thousands of layers with high intensity by nano-layering technology.
