DuPont aims to expand market share of protective apparel fiber
|
|
DuPont is proceeding with the enhancement of production capacity in order
to expand its market share of protective apparel fiber.
A flame-resistant fiber "Protera," recently placed on the market
by DuPont Personal Protection division, is excellent in protecting against burns
during welding, meeting the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace(NFPA
70E) of the National Fire Protection Association and the new National Electrical
Safety Code (NESC) requirements.
According to DuPont Personal Protection division, "Protera" has
better levels of comfort and functions like flame resistance and strength when
compared to current mainstream flame-retardant nylon and cotton blended fibers,
and is easy to wash because the flame resistance is processed in at fiber level,
so there is no degradation or abrasion from laundering or bleaching. |
