Sakai Ovex (1-15-2 Hanando-naka Fukui City) has developed an oil repellent finish called S Manyguard® HO for polyester blends to protect against high temperature (HT) oils.

Uniforms for kitchen workers are stained by various kinds of oil, and the stains accumulate becoming difficult to remove. Immediate washing is recommended for removing such stains, but that is impossible when working.

At present, conventional water and oil repellent finishes do not work well for HT oils used in deep frying and so on and have poor washing durability.

As a solution to this problem, S Manyguard® HO was developed and its effect is shown in the following table.
