45.4% of imported textile machinery in China is taken up by foreign-capitalised companies.

According to Chinese custom statistics, the import of textile machinery in
the first half of 2007 increased by 28% to US$ 2.96 billion, and already exceeds
the total of the preceding year by 8.8%.
Breaking this down by company, foreign-capitaliesd companies imported US$
1.22 billion (45.4%), private companies US$ 0.74 billion (27.6%) and state enterprises
US$ 0.59 billion (21.8%). By area, Giangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong accounted
for 71%. By exporting countries, the EU totalled US$ 1.26 billion (46.8%) and
Japan US$ 0.85 billion (31.6%), together they made up 78.4% |
