Ink jet printing with pigment ink,
textile printers aiming to substitute for conventional printing

Recently, the supply of dyes is decreasing in Japan.

With this trend, some textile printers are increasingly studying a print onto both spun and filament fabrics with better hand by pigment ink jet printing.
A better result in hand was obtained, but deep black has not been achieved yet and new pretreatment is progressing..

It was confirmed that ink jet printing on filament fabric can give a deeper shade than on cotton, using a certain printing machine. Very deep black is under examination.
