The Nano Silk Company of the US (H.O.: New York, President: Mr. Hiroharu Okamoto) has made it possible to carry out super water/oil repellent finishing without losing all those characteristics of silk. The company has established itself as the International Textile Management Consulting Co., LLC (ITMC) group, and is now seeking distributors for super water/oil repellent finished silk to promote it globally. The operation will be carried out by a Chinese-capitalized textile firm in Jiangsu, China.

Mr. Okamoto, the president of the company announced that "silk can be uncrushable with VP finishing Miracle Care technological treatment" and the company is now "developing a home washable silk which requires no dry cleaning" as the second step of nano finishing.
