Salaries for employees in the spinning and weaving industry in Turkey will increase by 4% every six months until October 31, 2009. This is based on the agreement between the Turkish Textile Employer's Association and the Turkish Textile Workers Union.

This agreement is valid for 31 months from April 1, 2007 to October 31, 2009, and during this period, salaries will go up by 4% in the first half of the first year from March 31, 2007 as an initial date of reckoning and up by 5% in the last half of the year. In the second year, they will go up by 4% in both the first and last halves of the year. In the third year, they will go up by 4% for the first seven months. Fringe benefits will go up as well along with increases in salaries.
