Labor turnover rate of textile industry in Thailand to be 19.7% in 2008
|
According to Watson Wyatt, a human resources consulting company of the
US, the labor turnover rate of the textile industry in Thailand is expected to
be 19.7% and the salary rise rate to be 5.7% in 2008.
It expects the average labor turnover rate for all industries in Thailand
to be 11.8% in 2008 and industries which will have higher turnover rates are
textiles (19.7%), real estate (18.2%) and communications (16.7%) and lower rates
are expected for finance (6.5%), petrochemicals (4.8%) and automobiles (3.9%).
It anticipates the salary rise rate in 2008 to decrease to an average of 6.1%,
down by 0.2 of a point from the previous year, and to be 5.7% for textiles, 7%
for petrochemicals, 7% for real estate, 6.1% for finance and 5% for steel. |
