Teijin's "advanced technology development center"

Teijin set up a new business development base "advanced technology development center" in its Iwakuni factory (Iwakuni-shi, Yamaguchi) on April 23. This center will aim to promote practical applications of research results developed in the Advanced Technologies Research Laboratories which have been operating in the Iwakuni Factory, as well as carrying out business incubation for Teijin Group's new business developments.

The center will deal with polymer science, nanotechnology, biotechnology, engineering and integrated fields in these areas. Specifically, the center will have an infrastructure that is capable of various development stages from development research to pilot business research for bioplastic and new carbon materials, water treatment technology, next-generation electronic materials, functional nanomaterials and nano-composite materials.
