Kuraray will expand its vinyl acetate and poval-related business globally. It has been producing poval resin at three bases, Japan, Germany and Singapore, and with a view to new applications, it will plan to enter new markets with remarkable growth such as India and Russia. In its textile business, it will enhance the production line for vinylon fiber for which there is a sharply rising demand as an alternative for asbestos to expand global distribution.
