The Textiles and Paper group in the School of Materials of the University of Manchester has established a new cutting-edge nanofiber production facility with support from The Clothworkers' Livery Company. The facility will supply world leading weaving and knitting facilities with the raw material to develop the next generation of industrial textiles.

By interweaving the fibers into the latest 3D woven and knitted fabrics, it aims to integrate innovative design with aesthetic sense with a view to presenting the first nanofiber fashion collection in the world.
