Seiren will go into India with its automotive interior business. It will form a business alliance with local company, BMD Private Ltd. (Banswara in Rajasthan state), and give technical support for development and production of automotive interiors as well as promoting joint marketing. In the future, it is planning to establish a joint venture, eyeing production and distribution. The company's decision was made on the growing demand expected for automotive interiors due to a spate of Japanese automotive makers expanding into India.

BMD is engaged in production and sales of automotive interiors with annual sales of about 2 billion yen with 400 employees. The contract period for this business alliance is 2 years from July 2008.
