Kaneka has developed a hybrid transparent resin which has resistance to heat and light and great strength, and will start full scale promotion for it as a sealant for electronic components, adhesives and optical parts. This resin is a new silicone series thermosetting resin, hybridized, at the molecular level, various organic olefin compounds and a suitable silicone compound, and is already in use as a sealant for light-emitting diodes (LED).

The company is committed to the development of a new ultra-heat-and-light-resistant thermosetting resin for next-generation optical devices.
