Mr. Kenichi Nakayama, Chairman of the Toray Synthetic Textile Cluster (President and CEO of Komatsu Seiren) said, at a press conference after the ordinary general meeting, that it would shift its management from technology-oriented to marketing-oriented to enhance the outlets for development(distribution routes), regarding its operation policy for fiscal 2008. Specifically, it will reorganize the sectional committee for technology and materials into six committees for nanotechnology materials, super fibers (tentative name), thermoplastic cellulose, environment-conscious materials, next-generation sewing technology and advanced processing technology seen from the perspective of advanced materials, environment-conscious materials and innovative technology to intensify marketing efforts directly connected to each technology and material sectional committee through the collaboration of newly appointed marketing representatives and marketing and sales committees.
