Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A., Italy's high-class brand manufacturer, has announced a new joint venture agreement with DLF, a real-estate company in India, and plans to open 10 new stores throughout India by 2013. In 2008 alone, the company will open 3 stores in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Ferragamo has already opened its first store in the Grand Hyatt Plaza Hotel in Mumbai, and is planning to expand its business in the country. It will hold 51% of the joint venture with DLF.
