CP Kelco to start operation of CMC plant in China from early 2009

CP Kelco, under the US chemical maker Huber, has established a wholly owned subsidiary "CP Kelco Specialty Chemicals Taixing Co., Ltd." in the Taixing Economy Developing Zone in Jiangsu, China, and is constructing a CMC plant. It is scheduled to start operation in early 2009 with a production capacity of 15,000 tons. It will produce high-quality CMC, the same as that produced by Japanese Daicel Chemical Industries and Dai-ichi Kogyo Seiyaku.
