The US' Polymer Group, Inc. (PGI) will expand its non-woven plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. It will introduce Reicofil's multi beam spunbond production line (Reicofil 4) to expand its annual production capacity to 15,000 tons. The company will invest about $50 million. It will be completed in the middle of 2009.

It will produce fine denier backing sheet, diapers and high quality, lightweight and high strength medical non-wovens with high barrier protection and comfort to promote not only in the markets of North America and Mexico but in Central America and Caribbean countries.
