Using the dyeing auxiliary Polyster TMC-200

According to the printing consultant N. Oyabu (originally of Daido-Maruta Finishing),
the direct printing of polyester can now produce a motif as fine as that of discharge
printing. To produce motifs in direct printing like those in discharge printing,
the dyeing auxiliary Polyster TMC-200 is required.
N. Oyabu's explanation is as follows.
Polyster TMC-200 can protect against certain deficiencies.
In the printing of polyester, traditional methods, being hydrophobic, have
good penetration which can result in the dyed patterns being blurred, leading
to quality problems.
Because bleeding is totally prevented with TMC's newly developed product
through printing in one operation, 70-80% of motifs produced by discharge printing
can now be produced by direct printing. TMC-200 is a special dyeing auxiliary
that allows the production of motifs with extremely fine lines and designs with
the look of discharge printing, thus facilitating the production of excellent
high-quality products.
This auxiliary is effective because material treated with TMC is cationic
and the disperse dyestuff of printing paste is anionic, and so bleeding is stopped
by the cations and anions combining.
This auxiliary can also be added to printing paste, but due to pigmentation,
problems can arise under certain conditions.
TMC is free of problems relating to the specking of the dyestuff and has
a solid track record, being used in a large number of factories in Southeast
Asia, including Indonesia, in the production of high-quality products with motifs
like those of discharge printing.
Description
1.Method of use
A). In fabric treatment (most effective)
See Fig. 1

B). In printing paste

2.The characteristics and effects of Polyster TMC
See Fig. 3

3.Cost Price and consumption rate
Taking the padding method as an example, one kilogram of Polyster TMC can
treat 3400 yards of fabric 44" wide, or 2500 yards of fabric 58" wide, the average
length that can be treated being 3000 yards. (See Fig. 4) There is a materials
cost for TMC, but it is not high.

In addition to the rationalization of productivity, increased efficiency, and
increased printing density for the paste and the mesh, this treatment can produce
sharp designs and high-quality processing like that of discharge printing. Because
the total cost will definitely be lower, the use of TMC is recommended.
