1-5. Acrylic Mayer blankets

When carrying out printing on Mayer blankets using cationic dyestuffs, a system which combines an automatic screen printer and a continuous steamer is generally accepted. Fixing is carried out immediately with an atmospheric-pressure steamer without drying right after printing.
For a stock paste, a guar / locust bean type thickener with medium viscosity (stock paste solubility : 8%) is used. On Mayer blankets with deep pile and densely woven New Mayer blankets, cationic dyestuffs, the dye speed of which is fast, penetrate only the tip of the pile but hardly reach the root of it and eventually cause unlevel dyeing of light color motifs, therefore, Senka's AOP-21 (penetrating agent) and EOP-12 (printing retardant ), both of which bring retardation to dyestuffs, are used. For dark color motifs, Serenasol FCN-A, which is a shade deepener for short time steaming, is effective. (Table 6)
