Dispersing/leveling agent for high-pressure dyeing of polyester

Benerap D-101

Performance Evaluation

Ipposha has conducted tests on the dispersibility, dye migrating/retarding properties, decoloration, chemical stability and foaming properties of Benerap D-101, a dispersing/leveling agent for the high-pressure dyeing of polyester. The following shows the result.

1. Dispersibility test

1-1. Casing spot test

[Test method]

Substrate: polyester double pique
Device used: Colorpet 12

[Dyeing conditions]

  • Dyestuff
    BORON RED R153# 200% 1.5%o.w.f.(made in China)
    Dianix Blue S-2R 2.0%o.w.f.
    Sumikaron Navy Blue S-2GL 2.0%o.w.f.
    Sumikaron Yellow S-RPD 3.0%o.w.f.
  • Dispersing/leveling agent (g/L)
  • Acetic acid (90%) 0.3ml/L
  • Liquor ratio 1:20
  • Temperature x time 90°C x 0min, 120°C x 0min, 130°C x 0min

[Evaluation]

The condition of dyed fabric, which was wrapped around a perforated holder, was visually examined, after the temperature was raised to 90°C, 120°C or 130°C then cooled immediately.

1-2. Testing without fabric

[Test method]

  • Dyestuff
    Dianix Blue S-2R 1g/L
    Dianix Red KB-SE 200% 1g/L
  • Dispersing/leveling agent 0.5, 1.0g/L
  • Acetic acid (90%) 0.3 mL/L
  • Temperature x time 130°C x 60min

[Evaluation]

After conducting treatment under the above conditions, the test liquor was cooled to 90°C and then stirred for 20 minutes, before carrying out suction filtration with No.5A filtration paper to examine the amount of residue. A smaller amount of residue denotes less coagulation, thus indicating superior dispersibility.

:No residue (good dispersibility)
  |
x :Large amount of residue (poor dispersibility)
