Reactive silicone softener
Queenseter SI-UP
Kotani Chemical Industry's reactive silicone softener "Queenseter SI-UP" is a durable rubber elastomer type silicone softener, which is a reactive silicone resin emulsion for finishing various fabrics to add high elasticity and soft hand.
It contains an amino group and other reactive cross-linking groups in its polymer molecule and produces polymerization and two-dimensional net cross-linking with fabrics, which realizes a unique soft and elastic hand which could not otherwise have been achieved.
Features
- It is applicable to any type of fiber including natural fibers such as cotton, linen, rayon, silk and wool and synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon and acrylic fibers.
- It can achieve very soft hand with excellent elasticity because of its intramolecular polymerization and two-dimensional net cross-linking (rubber elastomer) with fiber.
- Its hand can maintain excellent washing fastness because of its compound functional groups.
- It improves material's high-class look by adding brightness to the hue.
- It adds soft hand and elasticity (kick-back property for knit), which could not have been achieved before, to raised fabrics, peach skin fabrics, suede type fabrics, knits, high-density textiles and such. This property gives a more high-class look to the fabric surface and hand.
- It has excellent machine stability.

Normal curing and heat setting after drying can improve soft and elastic hand and durable washing fastness. |
* |
Care is required with temperature and pH especially when dipping method is used because “Queenseter SI-UP” has high absorption performance to fiber.Treatment bath needs to be kept at a temperature below 40°C and pH should always be kept weakly-acidic. |
* |
With “Queenseter SI-UP,” treatment and drying might cause deterioration of fluorescent whitening effect for fluorescence bleached material.In this case, parallel use of “Neoleve WA-15” (anti-precipitant) to prevent deterioration.The same method can be applied to concerns about color change due to heat and yellowing due to nitrogen oxides ( parallel use of “Neoleve WA-15” amounted 1/5 of “Queenseter SI-UP”). |
