Strong anti-pile detaching agent
Queenseter 2PL
"Queenseter 2PL" is a strong anti-pile detaching agent developed by Kotani Chemical Industry.
It has been the worst weakness of pile textile products that detaching of pile, which often occurs with friction and tearing while being worn, considerably restricts the application of a product which should be more widely utilized.
"Queenseter 2PL" is an effective finishing agent for strongly preventing pile detaching with soft hand being maintained, and can be widely applied to velveteen, corduroy, velvet, velour, moquette, seal skin, pile-knit and pile-towel.
"Queenseter 2PL" consists of two kinds of chemical (A sol and B sol) as shown below.

* “Queenseter 2PL”used to be one-component, but now it is sold as two-component(A sol/B sol) because of its stability.

Anti-pile detaching effect with gum tape method
A. Method with mangle
Both treated and untreated corduroy were placed in and run through a mangle, the surface of which had gum tape rolled around it sticky side out, applying 5-atmosphere loads before the level of pile-detaching was evaluated with the naked eye (see the data below for the results).
B. Method with load
Stick gum tape on both treated and untreated corduroy before applying 4.5 kg of load from above.Peel off the gum tape before the level of pile-detaching is evaluated with the naked eye(see the data below for the results).
