Estimation of vast loss in printing paste disposal

Korean plant discharges printing paste equivalent to 35m annually - what a waste!

Let us ask you a question. How much printing paste per lot is unused and thrown away in your plant?
Effluent treatment plant.
A large amount of color paste
disposal increases costs for
effluent treatment.

There is a case of 26.5% of prepared printing paste being drained away as effluent at a plant in the Far East. That is no less than profit being thrown away.

In the case of a Korean plant, an average of 2t or more printing paste residue per day was discharged in the period between September 2001 and February 2002. The amount of residue will make up an equivalent of 30m annually (on the basis of 25-day operation per month). With 6m effluent discharge costs included, a total sum of 36m is poured down the drain.

What then is to be done? The solution can be found in the following pages.
