Kayascore MP
Application: Kayascore MP, a scouring agent for elastic fibers, is a detergent consisting primarily of a surfactant with a high affinity for oiling agents and a surfactant with good emulsion/dispersion
properties, and is especially effective in removing oiling agent from fabrics containing polyurethane-based elastic fiber which use large amounts of oiling agent.
In comparison to traditional detergents of which the primary constituent is a nonionic surfactant, by reducing the amount of oiling agent suspended on the surface of the scouring solution because
of its good emulsion/dispersion properties, problems associated with redeposition (eg. specking) are reduced without degrading the polyurethane fibers or reducing the fastness of disperse dyestuff.
Specifications
See Table 4.
Performance testing
1) Scouring testing with a polyurethane/nylon stocking (batch scouring)
See Table 5.
2) Testing of urethane degradation
See Table 6.
3) Testing of the removal of oiling agent from the surface of the scouring solution
See Table 7.
4) Testing of the emulsion of the oiling agent
See Table 8.
While the technical data presented and formulas recommended here are based on our company's most recent information, the data is based on limited laboratory testing and so reproducibility on all possible
scales and in all possible applications is not guaranteed. For example, there is a wide range of fabrics among polyester/polyurethane blends, and the effectiveness of soaping differs from machine to
machine, so please conduct preliminary testing in all cases.
