Softening agent "Dcom35-6" (for polyester blends)
Introduction
| * |
Dcom35-6 is a softening agent comprised
mainly of polyester resin. |
| * |
Dcom35-6 imparts softness and wash resistance to polyester
knits and weaves for use in car upholstery or curtains,
without causing any hindrance to flame resistance. |
| * |
Dcom35-6 is suitable for use in sportswear or blouses
requiring good waterabsorbency. |

Features
| * |
Dcom35-6 is a softening agent compatible with a broad
range of polyester car upholstery finishing (in-bath
treatment during disperse dyeing or reduction clearing,
padding treatment). |
| * |
Causing hindrance to flame resistance is unlikely with
Dcom35-6. |
| * |
Causing hindrance to water absorbency is unlikely with
Dcom35-6. |
Method of use
| * |
Causing hindrance to water absorbency is unlikely with
Dcom35-6. While standard recipes are outlined below,
the method used is not fixed and varies with conditions
of the substrate (including compatibility with agents
used simultaneously) and the area of application. The
recipe should be determined upon preliminary testing. |
1) Padding method
Padding → Drying (100゚C
x 3min) → Setting (180゚C
x 1min)
Use at a concentration below 1% to avoid any deterioration
in colorfastness.

Directions for use
- To avoid coagulation, ensure that the temperature of water
used in diluting Dcom35-6 is not higher than 50゚C.
- Verify colorfastness for use in substrates dyed in medium
to deep shades.
- Verify tarring of the dyestuff for use in in-dyebath treatment.
- Since this product tends to coagulate over time, avoid
long-term storage. Stir well before use.
- Verify compatibility for simultaneous use with a flame
retardant.
