Customer's favorites are not common.

The expectations of customers for mercerization are:

(1) Good hand
(2) High luster
(3) Shape stability of yarn

To cope with such needs, the concentration of caustic soda should be controlered according to customers’ needs.

When high luster is required, the cross section should be circular.

The cross section of swollen cotton fiber is usually oval, then by making it circular through stretching, a smooth surface is obtained leading to high luster.

Hank mercerization can give a higher effect than that of continuous fabric mercerization.
