Seiren Electronics' DENSIMATIC-SVW II (DM-SVW II) series utilizes the world's only dual-mode detection method capable of both moire and slit detection.

Detection is possible for wefts free from the influence of twill lines, through determination of weft density by means of moires produced with the use of a densimeter.

Detection has also been made possible for fabrics in which moire production is difficult and weaves with a density as high as 450 threads/inch, through the optical optimization of the slit size according to the type of fabric.

- Dual-mode detection

These days, there are more and more fabrics of complex structure such as those with twill lines. The key point in a weft straightener is how precisely it can detect weft distortions. In this respect, too, Seiren Electronics' DM-SVW II is one that allows the application to a wide variety of fabrics.

The following is a basic description of moire and slit detection.

1) Moire detection

Weft distortions are detected based on the principle of moire production by a densimeter

Special feature: Detection for fabrics with complex structure is possible through determination of weft density.

2) Slit detection

Weft distortions are detected using slits set at different angles. Detection capabilities have been enhanced in Seiren Electronics' V-type detector by the adoption of Zooming Slit Detection that optically optimizes slit sizes.

Special feature: Detection has been made possible for high-density weaves or even fabrics in which moire production is difficult

The four types of the DM-SVW II series consist of the following configurations:

1. 4 detectors, 2 skew rolls, 2 bow rolls
2. 4 detectors, 2 skew rolls, 2 bow rolls, centering roll
3. 5 detectors, 3 skew rolls, 2 bow rolls, dancer roll
4. 5 detectors, 3 skew rolls, 2 bow rolls, centering roll, dancer roll
