Detection of weft distortions
Several sensors are set at a given distance from each other along the width of fabric for the detection of skews and bows. There are two detection methods; one by light transmission with fabric set
between the detector and light projector, and the other by light reflection, using the projection of light from the detector side onto the fabric surface.
Moreover, there are generally two different types of detection mechanisms, moire and slit detection. Seiren Electronics' V-type detector installed in DM-SVW II utilizes dual-mode detection capable
of both mechanisms. With this V-type detector, detection has been thus made possible for fabrics for which application was conventionally not possible, through its computerized selection of an optimum
detection mechanism, each one having distinct characteristics.
- V-type intelligent sensor (V-type detector)
| Divided operation has been made possible with a CPU installed in each sensor. Dramatic improvements in processing capability can be recognized in the smooth, dual-mode detection and in quick responses
to any changes in fabric. Moreover, the number of detectors, up to a maximum of 30 units, can be selected and connected up at the discretion of the user in each case. |

- Operational panel
A touch panel has been adopted for its user-friendly properties. The colorful, clear and wide TFT liquid crystal screen displays lucid images of the state of weft distortions and of their being straightened.
Furthermore, the real-time display of distortions and the display of records have been added as new functions.
In addition, it is equipped with the function of item number registration that allows the
setting of straightening conditions, such as fabric density and tension, according to each item number, as well as the troubleshooting function that determines the malfunctioning of parts by easy self-diagnosis.
