China’s “Entry Requirements for Printing & Dyeing Industry” effective from March 1 to be applied on existing firms in terms of manufacturing process and dyeing capacity when renovated and expanded |
|
The "Entry Requirements for Printing & Dyeing Industry" enforced
by China's National Development and Reform Commission from March 1 spells out
the requirements for new entries into the dyeing industry such as locations,
manufacturing processes, dyeing capacities and water consumption. Not only that,
these requirements will be applied to existing firms in case of renovation and
expansion.
From now on, when examinations for investment, provision of industrial land,
environment assessment, safety assessment and loan/finance for new and existing
dyeing businesses in China are carried out, each examining authority must follow
the new regulations.
These new regulations are just an administrative measure, not a law, but virtually
have a legal nature, which is capable of questioning legal and social responsibilities
in the event of violation of the rules or misconduct through management negligence.
