An easy-to-use fan-type color chart

The SCOTDIC FAN Cotton 2300, now on sale, provides color chips of 2300 different colors in an easy-to-use fan-style format.

Each color chip measures 1.5cm x 4cm and displays its SCOTDIC code number.

Because the chips are self-adhesive and readily removed from the color chart, they are easy to use in specifying a required color.

Used in conjunction with the chip replacement service, the SCOTDIC FAN Cotton 2300 is ideal for product planning and color specification.

The SCOTDIC FAN Cotton 2300 is the world's first genuine fan-type color chart consisting of dyed cloth chips. The back of each chip is adhesive and so the required amount of a chip can be cut off and stuck elsewhere. Replacements for depleted color chips are available for order and replacement chips can be affixed to the original position in the color chart.

Replacement color chips are not restricted to those of type H (1.5cm x 4cm), more substantial color chips being available for all 2300 colors contained in the color chart. As detailed below, 6 different sizes of replacement chip are available, ranging from the smallest 1.5cm x 4cm chip up to the large 20cm x 50cm swatch type, and so just for cotton, you can choose from 6 types x 2300 colors = 13 000 replacement items. You can order the exact number of chips of the color you require for use in your planning, color management and color communications.

The SCOTDIC color system scientifically arranges colors according to the three attributes of hue, brightness and chroma. Because SCOTDIC's standard color chips provide a balanced coverage of color space, any color can be fitted into SCOTDIC's color system simply by locating the color chip of the closest corresponding color. Furthermore, all of SCOTDIC's color chips are labeled with a six-digit number, making the SCOTDIC color system indispensable for any form of color management, be it computer based or otherwise. In order to fully realize the potentials of the SCOTDIC color system, a range of different color charts suitable for different purposes have been made available.
