Color determination with SCOTDIC at retailer's

Color selection by clients in the SCOTDIC color charts, displayed on computer CRT

Overlapping the selected color and fabric

The next step is showing the client the overlapped view of the fabric of his/her choice and the color, one closest to life, on CRT. Compare the CRT-displayed color to the life sample with the use of SCOTDIC to see the degree of color difference. On the reception of an order, data is transferred to a dyeing factory through the Internet, for the following CCS or CCM stage to proceed.

Automatic dye recipe search on the determination of color and fabric

<CCS>
Optimum dye recipes for colors used in the past have been installed in the computer database for use in quick search by color code numbers.
This is called CCS (Computer Color Search). Dye recipe data found is transferred to automatic dye preparation units.

<CCM>
If a color cannot be found in the SCOTDIC chart, adjustments can be made to a similar color in the SCOTDIC to create the desired color.
This is called CCM (Computer Color Matching).
Dye recipe data is then transferred to automatic dye preparation units, while data on the created color is installed in the CCS database.
