Problem of Dyeing Polyester/Polyurethane Blend Moves towards Solution.
Establishing New Technology in Japan by Blending Various Factors
Polyester/Polyurethane New Materials Expand to Outerwear.
1. Why dyeing was difficult.

Stretch type outerwear is booming in the European and Japanese fashion fields. Therefore, synthetic fiber makers are now making a greater effort to develop new stretch fabrics.

Stretch fabrics are made of a combination of textile materials and polyurethane yarn. Their process and treatment vary depending on the types of material combined. The production of each type of stretch fabric has been increasing lately, however, until recently the production of polyester/polyurethane blended fabric and union types was low because of many technical difficulties in dyeing and printing. Towards the end of 1998, the problem is becoming smaller.
