Some factories connect a drum washing machine and a setter for knit fabric. In the case of woven fabric, some factories also calculate the heat setting rate for polyester, which has been boiled for 30 min. and then dried.

The following formulas are used to set up appropriate cloth width by some factories:

Special care is necessary when scouring polyester/polyurethane blended fabric compared to pure polyester fabric.

• Set-up width = (Width after relaxing - Full relax width)/2

• Heat setting rate (%) = Length of heat set sample after relaxing/Width of heat set sample x 100
